At the Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2026 (AMT2026) ceremony held at the Selangor International Trade Centre, actress Anna Jobling emerged as a standout winner, securing both the main award and the title of Hottest Female Celebrity. The event, which took place recently, featured 16 categories with winners chosen entirely through fan voting on the digital platform Tonton.

Other notable recipients included Zaki Yamani, who won Hottest Fresh Rising Star, and Fattah Amin, named Hottest Male Celebrity. Khai Bahar took home the Hottest Music Celebrity award, while Janna Nick and Dini Schatzmann were recognised as the Hottest Couple Goals. Additional winners were Hael Husaini for Hottest Inspirational Icon Celebrity, Aisha Retno for Hottest Viral Celebrity, and Meerqeen for Hottest Stylish Celebrity.

The event’s theme, “Power,” was underscored by performances from prominent Malaysian artistes such as DOLLA, Ernie Zakri, Misha Omar, and Alyph, adding a dynamic entertainment component to the awards night.

Separately, Muar Member of Parliament Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman addressed criticisms aimed at his wife, actress Bella Astillah, regarding their suitability as a couple. Speaking at their wedding reception held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Syed Saddiq described Bella as a strong, independent woman who had been supporting her family since childhood. He highlighted her early participation in RTM’s Bintang Kecil competition at age five and noted that her talents facilitated the family’s move from Sabah to Kuala Lumpur when she was seven.

Syed Saddiq further pointed out that while he pursued higher education, Bella had already taken on the responsibilities of raising two children, ensuring they received quality education. “If we want to talk about being well-matched, I am the one who is not worthy of standing beside Bella. She is an extraordinary person and an amazing mother,” he said.
