Anne Robinson, the television presenter best known for her role as the host of The Weakest Link, has reportedly ended her long-term relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles, the retired brigadier and former husband of Queen Camilla. Robinson, 82, is understood to have moved from the Cotswolds, where Parker Bowles, 86, resides, back to London following the breakup.

Robinson, who has publicly acknowledged their relationship in the past, referred to her time with Parker Bowles in the past tense when asked recently. “I might have done,” she commented when asked if she had been dating him. She also noted the challenges of discussing a relationship partly connected to someone else, referring to Parker Bowles as the father of the Queen’s two children and alluding to a need for discretion.

While Robinson has spoken openly about their relationship, Parker Bowles has neither confirmed nor publicly addressed the connection, and the couple was never photographed together. Robinson shared her thoughts on companionship in an interview on the Experience Is Everything podcast, expressing that “real happiness is sharing a life with someone” and mentioning a quote from comedian Joan Rivers about the importance of having someone to share quiet moments with.

Despite missing the companionship, Robinson said she does not wish to compromise at this stage in her life. “I’m 82, do Pilates and run,” she said, adding that she is uncertain about the possibility of living full-time with someone again. Prior to her relationship with Parker Bowles, she had been single for 17 years.

Andrew Parker Bowles, who has a notable public profile as the ex-husband of Queen Camilla, was reportedly one of the inspirations behind a prominent literary character in the work of the late author Jilly Cooper. Cooper mentioned that Parker Bowles was one of three men who inspired Rupert Campbell-Black, a character featured in her best-selling novel Riders.

The couple’s separation marks the end of a relationship that was known but remained largely private, underscoring the balance Robinson has maintained between her public persona and private life.
