A documentary is currently in production chronicling the comeback of professional golfer Anthony Kim, focusing on his career highlights, battles with addiction, and recovery from multiple surgeries.

Kim, 41, who claimed three victories on the US PGA Tour and reached a peak world ranking of No. 6 in 2008, stepped away from competitive golf after sustaining an Achilles injury in 2012. His absence from the sport lasted nearly 12 years before he surprised many by winning the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament in February 2026. Kim secured the title with a three-shot lead over Spain’s Jon Rahm, marking his first competitive victory in almost 16 years.

Following the win, Kim expressed gratitude to his supporters and shared an encouraging message for others facing challenges. “Nobody else has to believe in me but me, and for anybody that’s struggling, you can get through anything,” he said. Kim also pledged to donate 1% of his LIV Golf prize money to mental health organizations.

The documentary is being produced by Propagate Content, which released a statement describing the project as a “deeply personal journey of recovery, redemption, and the search for what comes next.” According to the release, Kim was once viewed as a golf prodigy destined for greatness before injuries, addiction, mental health struggles, and isolation led to his prolonged absence from the sport.

This film will mark the first time Kim tells his story publicly and on his own terms. A release date for the documentary has not been announced.
