Renowned Indian playback singers Anuradha Paudwal and Vinod Rathod are set to perform a Bollywood musical concert in Doha on Friday, October 30, bringing an evening of classic Hindi film melodies to the city’s Indian community. The event will be held at Aspire Zone Ladies Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Presented by Qatar Calendar and organized by RAMI Productions International under the direction of Raheem Athavanad, the concert is supported by Baladna. This marks Paudwal’s second visit to Qatar since her previous performance in 2013, offering her an opportunity to reconnect with fans in a city that has seen significant development in recent years.

Speaking ahead of the event, Paudwal noted that her brief visit limited her chance to explore Doha in depth. Arriving late the previous night, she had little time beyond rehearsals and preparations for the concert. Nevertheless, she expressed admiration for the city’s progress, describing the parts she saw during a short drive as beautiful and indicative of Qatar’s rapid growth.

The concert will feature performances by both Paudwal and Rathod, renowned for their distinctive contributions to Bollywood music. Paudwal, known for her extensive repertoire of Hindi film songs, mentioned that she prefers to gauge the audience’s mood before selecting songs during live performances, allowing flexibility to include popular requests alongside other featured artists.

Organizers anticipate the event will resonate with multiple generations of Indian expatriates and music enthusiasts in Qatar, from those who grew up with Bollywood classics to younger audiences discovering the genre anew. Paudwal highlighted the universal nature of music, noting that while she primarily sings in Hindi, the emotional connection created by melody transcends language barriers.

Titled “Timeless Voices… Unforgettable Melodies…”, the concert aims to celebrate the enduring relationship between music and memory. Tickets are available through Virgin Megastore, Q-Tickets, Platinumlist, and City, with additional information accessible via RAMI Productions International.
