Washington, D.C.– Anxo, a local cider company recognized as a pioneer in the city’s craft cider scene, is marking its 10th anniversary with a special event this weekend. The celebration also commemorates nine years of operation at their Brightwood tasting room and shop.
To honor the milestone, Anxo is unveiling a limited-edition release called Anxo X, a wild-fermented cider aged in wood barrels. The new cider will make its debut during a special tasting session hosted by cidermaker Charlie Burt. The event will take place Saturday on Kennedy Street between noon and 2 p.m., where attendees can sample all cider drafts for $5 each.
The festivities will run from noon to 5 p.m. at Brightwood Pizza by Anxo, located at 711 Kennedy Street NW. The day-long celebration features live jazz performances, a DJ set by RBI, and the return of the popular Anxo smashburger popup, offering food alongside the beverages. Admission to the event is free.
Anxo, which has been an influential presence in the D.C. cider market, started in 2014 and has grown steadily while maintaining a focus on artisanal, wild-fermented products. The anniversary event offers both longtime fans and newcomers a chance to engage with the brand’s evolving offerings in a vibrant community setting.
