With the Arabian Gulf Cup 27 set to commence on September 23, the city of Jeddah is abuzz with anticipation as it prepares to host the tournament for the first time in Saudi Arabia. The event, scheduled to run until October 6, has sparked a series of fan engagements and promotional activities throughout the city.

A highlight of the pre-tournament festivities was the appearance of the Arabian Gulf Cup trophy in Jeddah, featured during a special event organized by BYD, the official automotive partner of both the Arab Gulf Football Federation and the competition. The activation was timed ahead of the tournament’s opening day, which will see two Group A matches: Iraq versus Oman at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium, followed by Saudi Arabia taking on Kuwait at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Group B teams competing in the tournament include the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Yemen.

The event attracted media representatives and content creators, who were given the chance to view the trophy up close and learn more about BYD’s involvement with the tournament. Company officials engaged with guests and posed for photographs with the trophy as part of the activation.

Badr Khojandi, general manager of the BYD brand in Saudi Arabia, described the event as an “exclusive opportunity to experience the tournament’s trophy firsthand” and to gain insight into BYD’s partnership role. Khojandi also announced that BYD will supply official shuttle vehicles throughout the duration of the Arabian Gulf Cup.

In addition to transportation services, the BYD brand will be prominently featured in the tournament’s fan zone, offering a range of interactive displays and activities that aim to enhance the matchday experience for attendees. The integration of these experiences underscores the city’s vibrant preparations as the Arabian Gulf Cup 27 approaches.
