The Education Ministry has announced the opening of applications for PhD programmes at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) in Moscow for the 2026/2027 academic year. The university is currently accepting applications from international students for various academic programmes, including doctoral studies.

Prospective candidates seeking admission on a fee-paying basis can apply through the university’s Admissions Office for International Citizens. RUDN University offers several tuition fee discounts for foreign applicants. These include up to a 100% tuition waiver for students with exceptional achievements in academics, science, volunteering, sports, or creative endeavors. Additionally, prize-winners of the RUDN Open Olympiad for Foreign Citizens are eligible for a 30% discount, while applicants with an average grade exceeding 84% may receive a 15% reduction on tuition fees. A 10% discount is also available to applicants who provide a letter of recommendation from a diplomatic mission.

For fee-paying students, the university allows payment via an installment plan. The initial payment covers three months of study, followed by a second payment covering two months, after which students can arrange a personalized payment schedule.

Applicants are advised to submit their applications well before the September 11 deadline and to thoroughly review all admission requirements and required documentation posted on the university’s official website. The application process requires online registration and submission of supporting documents through the university’s portal dedicated to international applicants.
