The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language concluded its latest Arabic Language Month on Friday in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event, held from September 27 through the end of October, was organized in collaboration with Saudi and Kazakh universities under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030’s Human Capability Development Program.

This initiative forms part of a broader series of programs by the academy aimed at advancing Arabic language education for non-native speakers worldwide. Its objectives include improving teaching quality, enhancing educators’ proficiency, and promoting academic partnerships between countries.

The month-long event featured a diverse range of activities, such as training courses designed for both educators and students, an academic forum, professional and official meetings, and educational visits. A notable first for the program was the inclusion of a language games tournament, intended to engage participants in interactive learning.

Additionally, a symposium on Arabic language instruction gathered scholars from prominent institutions, including Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, alongside Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Ablai Khan University in Kazakhstan. The forum provided a platform for experts to discuss methodologies and challenges in teaching Arabic.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, secretary-general of the King Salman Global Academy, highlighted the initiative’s role in promoting the Arabic language on a global scale and strengthening teaching capabilities. He also praised the support of Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture and chairman of the academy’s board of trustees, emphasizing the leadership’s commitment to the academy’s mission.

The ongoing collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan through such events underscores efforts to enhance cultural and educational ties, aligning with broader strategic goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
