Fans of both football and K-pop are coming together in Doha this week to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final alongside BTS’s highly anticipated halftime show. The event is scheduled for July 19 at 10:00 p.m. local time at Nom Yum by Bistro 974 House of Specialties in Bin Mahmoud.

The watch party is organized by Christian Joy Dulalia Rombano, a prominent figure within the BTS fandom in Qatar, in partnership with Apobangpo PH Doha. Rombano, who is also a Filipino community leader and social media advocate, initiated the gathering in response to requests from fellow fans, aiming to provide a communal space where supporters of both the global boy band and football can unite.

“This watch party is about bringing people together as one family to experience a historic moment for BTS while enjoying one of football’s biggest nights,” Rombano said.

The venue and event receive support from Annie Barcelona-Esmer, CEO of DT Group of Companies, as well as Ms. Rayyan and the management team at Nom Yum, who have contributed the location for the viewing party.

BTS’s halftime performance marks the group’s first appearance at the FIFA World Cup, joining several internationally renowned artists in what is expected to be a major cultural moment tied to Global Citizen’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness for global causes.

Following the halftime show, attendees will also watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, which features defending champions Argentina competing against Spain. The match is widely anticipated as a highlight of the tournament.

Organizers expect the event to foster a lively atmosphere that bridges music and sport, uniting diverse groups of people through shared enthusiasm and celebration. The watch party underscores how global events continue to create opportunities for cross-cultural engagement in places like Doha.
