Arsenal is among several European clubs reportedly monitoring Mexican midfielder Gilberto Mora, following the teenager’s notable performances at the recent FIFA World Cup. The 17-year-old, who currently plays for Club Tijuana, attracted attention after helping Mexico advance to the tournament’s round of 16, where they were eliminated by England in the early hours of Monday.

Mora made his professional debut for Club Tijuana at just 15 years and 308 days old, setting a record as the youngest player in the club’s history. His early impact and consistent displays have prompted Tijuana to acknowledge that a future transfer is likely.

At the World Cup, Mora featured for over 200 minutes, becoming the youngest player to represent Mexico on the global stage. His performances have drawn interest from multiple European sides, with Arsenal emerging as a key admirer.

However, a move to England in the current transfer window is not possible for Mora, as he will not turn 18 until October. Any potential transfer to an English club would therefore have to wait until he meets the age requirement.
