Fery’s advancement comes on the heels of his impressive run to the Wimbledon semifinals, which significantly improved his world ranking. In the final, he is set to face Ignacio Buse, whom Fery defeated in a three-set match earlier in the tournament.

Following the semifinal, Fery expressed mixed feelings about the outcome, stating he was pleased to reach the final but disappointed by how the match concluded. He also wished Duckworth a speedy recovery.
