A contemporary mansion in Aspen, Colorado, previously rented by several celebrities including singer Rihanna, has sold for $63.5 million, marking one of the most expensive real estate transactions recently recorded in the area. The property, owned by Todd Lemkin, former chief investment officer of Dallas-based Canyon Partners, and his wife Kasey Lemkin, was acquired in 2022 for $60 million. The couple had listed the home for sale multiple times, with a peak asking price of $79 million in 2025.

The identity of the buyer remains undisclosed. The listing agent, Mandy Welgos of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty, declined to comment on the sale. Welgos, along with colleague Craig Morris, represented the purchaser.

Constructed in 2011, the mansion is situated at the base of Aspen Mountain and covers approximately 17,000 square feet. The residence includes seven bedrooms, an indoor pool, two elevators, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, four bars, and a bowling alley.

The sale occurs amid a cooling luxury real estate market in Aspen and nearby Snowmass Village. Following a winter with minimal snowfall, sales of homes priced above $10 million dropped 35% in August compared to the same month last year, according to the Estin Report, a luxury real estate market analysis. There has been a notable decline in "trophy" property transactions, with potential buyers increasingly challenging listed prices.

This market shift was underscored in July, when billionaire Bill Koch's 52-acre ranch, once listed at $125 million, sold at auction for $33.515 million, illustrating the gap between sellers’ expectations and current market conditions in the region’s high-end real estate segment.
