Aston Villa have agreed deals to strengthen their attacking options with the signings of Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain and Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. The club has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with PSG to acquire 18-year-old winger Mbaye for a fee believed to be around £47 million. Personal terms were being finalized, with a medical expected shortly following the announcement.

Mbaye, who has been with Paris Saint-Germain since 2018, broke into the senior team two years ago, making 42 appearances and contributing four goals and four assists. The Senegal international, who has earned 15 caps, played a notable role at this summer’s World Cup, scoring in Senegal’s match against France and starting in three of his country’s four games.

The signing of Mbaye arrives alongside the acquisition of Nicolas Jackson, confirmed by Aston Villa in a deal initially reported at £47.5 million, with potential add-ons raising the total value to £65 million. Jackson joins following a move from Chelsea that follows the club’s anticipated sale of Ollie Watkins. The new additions join a reshaped attacking line-up that also includes Johan Manzambi, signed for £52 million, and loanee Alejandro Garnacho, signaling a significant overhaul of Villa’s forward positions ahead of the new season.

Mbaye had been linked with Liverpool prior to Villa’s move, but the club secured his signature as part of a broader strategy to revamp their attack. Both players bring a mix of youth and international experience, with Villa aiming to enhance their offensive capabilities after recent transfer activity.
