The attacks affected more than 10 locations within the capital, with additional damage reported at 33 sites in the broader region.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian forces carried out retaliatory strikes on targets inside Russia, including an oil refinery in Yaroslavl and a military airfield in the Rostov region.
