A large brawl involving several Australian nationals erupted at a popular nightclub in Bali last Thursday, drawing significant attention after video footage of the incident circulated online. The altercation began inside Motel Mexicola, a well-known party venue located in the Seminyak area, when two Australian men reportedly engaged in a physical fight.
According to local authorities, the initial confrontation between the two men took place within the crowded bar area. Security personnel intervened and managed to remove one of the Australians from the premises to de-escalate the situation. However, when security guards attempted to prevent the shirtless individual from re-entering the nightclub, he allegedly struck the security staff multiple times. This action seemingly triggered a larger melee outside the venue as bystanders, including local residents, became involved.
North Kuta Police Chief Kompol I Ketut Sukadana confirmed that investigators had visited the scene and were reviewing the video footage to corroborate the details collected on site. Despite the visibility of the incident through online platforms, no formal complaints or reports have been filed in relation to the event.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as they gather more information, although the motive behind the initial altercation remains unclear. Motel Mexicola has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. The police have urged those involved or witnesses to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
