Auto Class Cars, the authorized distributor of Lynk & Co in Qatar and a subsidiary of Nasser Bin Khaled Group, officially introduced the Lynk & Co 900 Full-size Flagship Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) SUV at an event held at Rosewood Hotel Doha in Lusail. The launch, which took place recently, spotlighted the model’s advanced features and positioned it as a new benchmark in the luxury SUV segment within the Qatari market.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by senior executives including His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani, Chairman of Nasser Bin Khaled Group; His Excellency Sheikh Faleh Bin Nawaf Al Thani, Managing Director of the Automotive Sector at Nasser Bin Khaled Group; Hani Abdo, CEO of Nasser Bin Khaled Holding Company; Tian Jinjun, CEO and Regional Representative of Lynk & Co Middle East; Frank Zauner, General Manager of Auto Class Cars; Ahmed Azmy, Group Marketing & Communications Manager at NBK Group; and Ahmad Firoozi, Marketing Manager at Auto Class Cars. The event was also attended by stakeholders, media representatives, and industry influencers.

The Lynk & Co 900 is a full-size plug-in hybrid SUV that integrates European safety engineering with advanced Chinese electric vehicle technology. Built on the SPA Evo platform, the vehicle is 5.24 meters in length, offering a three-row cabin designed to accommodate modern family needs. It features innovative amenities such as rotating second-row seats, multiple large 6K OLED touchscreen displays, and premium materials including Nappa leather upholstery and ambient lighting.

Under the hood, the SUV employs an EM-P hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine functioning as a generator, paired with three electric motors. This configuration delivers a combined output of 528 kW (710 horsepower) and approximately 1,000 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. Its 52.38 kWh battery supports up to 170 km of electric-only driving under the NEDC cycle, with a total driving range nearing 870 km. The SUV also offers fast DC charging capability, replenishing the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 17 minutes, complemented by a 60-liter fuel tank for extended range.

The vehicle’s exterior design emphasizes both functionality and style, featuring a panoramic fixed glass roof, large 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels, and a novel split tailgate that can open both upward and downward to serve as a shelter or seating area. Its ground clearance measures around 194 mm, supported by 275/45 R21 tires.

Technology and safety features are central to the Lynk & Co 900’s appeal. The SUV offers 5G connectivity, over-the-air software updates, and a “transparent chassis” mode that provides a 540-degree view of the surroundings through integrated cameras. It comes standard with Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, including LiDAR-based adaptive cruise control, lane centering, highway assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and a comprehensive sensor suite. Safety systems include an 11-airbag configuration and a robust structure engineered to withstand impacts at speeds up to 100 km/h while maintaining occupant protection.

Executives highlighted the introduction of the Lynk & Co 900 in Qatar as a significant step in the evolution of mobility, emphasizing the vehicle’s blend of luxury, innovation, and sustainability. According to Sheikh Faleh Bin Nawaf Al Thani, the launch embodies the group’s broader strategy to offer cutting-edge products that meet the needs of modern, forward-looking drivers. Frank Zauner noted the strong early demand for the model, reflecting confidence in its status as a leader in the PHEV luxury SUV category.
