Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, known as Awqaf, has introduced a new digital platform called “Hader” aimed at enhancing the administrative and operational management of mosques across the country. The application is designed to support imams and callers to prayer, forming a core part of the ministry’s broader digital transformation efforts.
The Hader app seeks to modernize mosque management by replacing traditional paper-based processes with automated digital workflows. This shift is intended to improve efficiency by reducing the time and effort required to complete administrative tasks and facilitate official communications. By streamlining these operations, the platform aims to increase flexibility and responsiveness in the daily management of mosque affairs.
Serving 1,456 mosques nationwide, Hader targets approximately 3,435 mosque personnel, including imams and callers to prayer. The application enables more effective communication between mosque administrators and onsite staff by providing a direct and reliable channel for the swift exchange of information and guidance.
In addition to improving administrative functions, the platform enhances governance and transparency. It ensures the accuracy of data, expedites monitoring, and allows for electronic verification, which collectively support stronger oversight of mosque activities.
The app also incorporates features designed to maintain hygiene standards within mosque premises. It facilitates periodic cleanliness monitoring and empowers mosque personnel to submit real-time comments and operational reports concerning the performance of sanitation service providers. This functionality aims to reinforce field surveillance and elevate the quality of services provided.
By integrating these capabilities, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs intends for Hader to standardize procedures, optimize communication, and ultimately improve the services offered to mosque workforces throughout Qatar.
