The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and AYA Bank jointly hosted the official kickoff and sponsor signing ceremony for the AYA Tri-Nations Cup 2026 women’s invitational football tournament on May 30 at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon.
During the event, AYA Bank Chief Executive Officer Daw Jasmine Thazin Aung outlined the institution’s motivation for sponsoring the tournament. This was followed by remarks of gratitude from MFF General Secretary U Tun Tun Aung. Representatives from both organizations subsequently formalized the sponsorship agreements and exchanged commemorative gifts.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 3 to June 9 at the same venue, featuring national teams from Myanmar, Thailand, and Uzbekistan. According to the fixture list, Myanmar will open the competition against Uzbekistan on June 3. Thailand will face Uzbekistan on June 6, and the final match will see Myanmar compete against Thailand on June 9. All matches are set to begin at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the event are available online via the AYA Pay platform, where fans purchasing tickets worth more than K5,000 will receive a digital lucky draw entry with prizes totaling up to K30 million. Additionally, advance ticket sales will occur at the Myanmar Football Federation office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 31, June 1, and June 2. Ticket prices are K5,000 for grandstand seats and K2,000 for ordinary seating.
To facilitate attendance, transportation arrangements will be provided for spectators following each match. The tournament aims to promote women’s football in the region and strengthen sporting ties between the participating countries.
