The Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), in partnership with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), hosted the Pink Walk on Saturday at Aspire Park to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event commenced at 4 p.m. and drew around 1,000 participants who completed a one-kilometer route circling Aspire Lake. Attendees were accompanied by event organizers and specialized female trainers throughout the walk.
The initiative also included a “Pink Corner,” where participants received information on the significance of early detection and breast cancer prevention. The trainers led warm-up and relaxation sessions, and attendees were given various gifts to encourage participation.
Ameena Jassim al-Kuwari, director of Marketing at Aspire Zone Foundation, expressed gratitude to the Qatar Cancer Society for their collaboration, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about cancer prevention and early diagnosis. She also acknowledged the support of sponsors, noting their vital role in the event’s success and underscoring the foundation’s belief that awareness is essential to building a healthier community. Al-Kuwari highlighted Aspire Park’s role as a communal space conducive to spreading health messages and fostering a culture of wellness.
The Pink Walk aligns with AZF’s broader commitment to social responsibility and contributes to fulfilling the Human Development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030. It also coincides with global efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month aimed at educating the public about cancer risks, promoting prevention techniques, and supporting research initiatives.
The event received backing from main partners Jetour and Qatar Cancer Society, strategic partner New Balance, media sponsor Qommunication, and humanitarian partner Qatar Red Crescent. Additional support came from event partners including Naseem Medical Centre, Symphony, Aseel Water, Kahramaa, and the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research.
