Bahrain and Kuwait maintain deep-rooted and robust bilateral relations, Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa affirmed during a meeting on Monday. The remarks were made as Sheikh Khalid received Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Jassim Al-Najem, at Al-Qudaibiya Palace, on the occasion of the ambassador assuming his duties in Manama.

He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Crown Princes of both nations—Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah of Kuwait and Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa—in ensuring close follow-up, cooperation, and coordination across various sectors.
Both sides praised the advanced level of bilateral cooperation, noting that it has helped foster shared visions while driving prosperity and development for the peoples of Bahrain and Kuwait. The discussions emphasized the importance of further expanding partnerships in economic and investment fields to sustain growth and mutual benefit.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to continue enhancing bilateral collaboration aimed at serving their national interests. Additionally, officials underscored the significance of advancing joint initiatives among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. Strengthening collective Gulf action and coordination was deemed essential for promoting regional stability and meeting the aspirations of countries across the Gulf region.
