A banquet was held at the Guildhall of the City of London on Wednesday evening to honor His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik during his state visit to the United Kingdom. Upon the arrival of the Sultan’s royal motorcade, he was welcomed by Susan Langley, the Lady Mayor of the City of London, her husband Gary Langley, His Royal Highness Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and other officials.

The Lady Mayor introduced several senior City of London officials to His Majesty before the Sultan ascended the dais of honor, where a Guard of Honour rendered a royal salute and the Royal Anthem of Oman was played. His Majesty conducted an inspection of the Guard of Honour, and a commemorative photograph was taken to mark the occasion.

Following the formalities, the Sultan, accompanied by the Lady Mayor, members of the British Royal Family, and his official delegation, proceeded to the Art Gallery Hall for a reception. At the event, High Commissioners and Ambassadors based in London greeted His Majesty to show their respect.

The banquet brought together high-ranking dignitaries, including members of the official Omani delegation, senior British officials, prominent figures from the City of London, and ambassadors representing various countries. After the dinner, the Lady Mayor delivered an address reaffirming her welcome to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, underscoring the significance of the visit in strengthening ties between Oman and the United Kingdom.
