Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a deal reportedly worth up to £123 million ($166.4 million). The transfer, which includes an initial fee of £106 million with potential add-ons of £17 million, is expected to be finalized before the English Premier League club's transfer deadline on Tuesday.

Barcola, 23, who has been a top transfer target for Liverpool throughout the summer, is set to join the club on a five-year contract and is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days. The forward was part of the PSG squad that secured back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles and represented France at the recent World Cup, scoring three goals.

PSG initially valued Barcola at around £145 million, a figure that Liverpool deemed too high. However, negotiations advanced earlier this week, resulting in the current agreement. Barcola joined PSG last year from Lyon in a £38.6 million transfer.

If completed, the move would mark the second-largest signing in Liverpool’s history, behind last summer’s acquisition of Alexander Isak for £125 million, and ahead of Florian Wirtz, who joined the club in a deal valued at up to £116 million. The transfer reflects Liverpool’s significant investment in their attacking options as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
