Barry Hearn, president of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), has praised 19-year-old Luke Littler as a rare talent in the world of darts, suggesting that the young champion's greatest competition may come from himself. Littler, a two-time World Darts Champion, has achieved a remarkable feat by winning all seven televised major tournaments he has entered, including five titles secured in 2026 alone.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Hearn highlighted Littler’s impact on the sport, noting that the player has inspired a new generation of young competitors worldwide. While acknowledging the emergence of other potential contenders, Hearn emphasized Littler’s exceptional skill and status as a "generational talent."

“Phil Taylor set the bar. Michael van Gerwen edged it a little bit,” Hearn commented, placing Littler’s achievements within the context of darts history. He expressed uncertainty over whether Littler could ultimately reach the milestone of 16 world titles but left open the possibility, describing him as a “one-off” talent.
