The BBC has announced a new digital spin-off series connected to Stacey Dooley’s forthcoming health show, "Clickbait Clinic," featuring a group of Generation Z content creators. The spin-off will debut on BBC iPlayer and YouTube next year, alongside the main program scheduled for BBC One.

This digital installment aims to reach a younger, online-savvy audience by enlisting influencers with a combined following of approximately 15 million across social media platforms. Among the featured personalities are Paige Three, known for her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race; beauty influencer Tennessee Thresher; fitness expert Lily Lifts; and YouTuber SV2.

The series will see Dooley, alongside Love Island’s Doctor Alex George and the invited creators, investigate the scientific validity of popular health trends frequently promoted online. Topics set to be explored include the purported benefits of substances like horny goat weed, as well as practices such as coffee enemas, which have gained traction despite limited medical endorsement.

By blending traditional broadcasting with digital content creators, the BBC is aiming to engage diverse audiences in conversations about health misinformation prevalent on social media. The dual approach of a televised program complemented by a digital-first spin-off reflects the broadcaster’s strategy to adapt to changing media consumption habits, particularly among younger viewers.
