Ahead of the Radio 2 In The Park festival next month, BBC Introducing will host a special live event in Stirling to highlight emerging Scottish musical talent. The show is scheduled for September 10 and will feature performances by three up-and-coming artists: Alice Fayre, Fright Years, and James Emmanuel.

Each artist will perform an original song alongside a cover, followed by a conversation with veteran DJ Jo Whiley. This will mark Whiley’s first visit to Stirling for the Radio 2 In The Park event, which is set to take place in the city in September.

Jo Whiley expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to showcase local musicians, describing the live show as a “very special” occasion. The event aims to shine a spotlight on Scotland’s vibrant new music scene and provide a platform for the featured artists at a major national festival.

Tickets for the BBC Introducing night are available through the BBC’s official website. The performances and interviews will be broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland the following evening at 8 p.m., offering a wider audience the chance to experience the event remotely.
