The upcoming season of the reality series Pilgrimage will follow seven celebrities as they travel along an ancient religious route, with the destination to be revealed ahead of the spring 2027 broadcast. The participants announced for the new series include reality television personality Ferne McCann, former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, actress Nina Wadia, comedian Leigh Francis, former Scottish parliamentarian Mhairi Black, and YouTuber Jay Foreman.

Building on last year’s series, which featured a journey across the North East of England concluding at Lindisfarne’s Holy Island in Northumberland, the new season seeks to delve into spiritual themes and the universal aspects of human experience through the shared physical and emotional challenges of the pilgrimage.

Participants have already spoken about the personal impact of the experience. Comedian Leigh Francis described the trip positively, emphasizing the rewarding nature of the adventure, while Nina Wadia referred to the journey as something her soul “needed right now,” highlighting the reflective and restorative elements of the pilgrimage.

The series combines elements of travel, documentary, and reality television to explore faith, spirituality, and human connection, continuing its focus on diverse backgrounds and shared exploration. The precise route and location have yet to be disclosed, with further details expected in the coming months ahead of the program’s release.
