Siti Zarina Roslan, mother of singer Bella Astillah, has expressed her gratitude that Bella’s fiancé, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, has fully embraced her two grandchildren from Bella’s previous marriage. The couple is preparing for their wedding, scheduled for October 10.

Siti Zarina praised Syed Saddiq for accepting and treating her grandchildren, Ayden and Ara, as his own children. Bella’s first marriage with singer Aliff Aziz ended in divorce for the second time in June 2024, following Aliff’s infidelity. Since then, Syed Saddiq has developed a close bond with the children.

“From what we have seen, Syed Saddiq is a very good person. As Ayden and Ara’s grandmother, I never expected there would be someone who could accept them for who they are and treat my grandchildren like his own,” Siti Zarina said, highlighting the kindness she has witnessed from Syed Saddiq. “What matters most is that he has welcomed my grandchildren with an open heart.”

The couple became engaged on March 28, after Syed Saddiq, a Member of Parliament for Muar, proposed to Bella during a trip to Mount Kinabalu. With the wedding date approaching, Siti Zarina admitted feeling nervous but expressed hope for the future.

“This is a new journey for her. As her mother, I am very happy for her. If possible, I hope this marriage will last all the way to jannah,” she said, using the Islamic term for paradise.

Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq’s upcoming union marks a new chapter for the couple and their extended family as they move forward together.
