Berkhamsted secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Chippenham Town at Hardenhuish Park on Saturday, staging a second-half comeback fueled by strong team effort and key saves from goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk.

The match began with both teams showing intent, creating several chances within the first 25 minutes. Chippenham’s Henry Sady delivered the most notable opportunities early on, while Berkhamsted’s Ryan Blake also threatened the hosts’ defense. The opening goal came in the 24th minute when a curling set-piece delivery into the far post escaped Berkhamsted’s defense and allowed Ben Richards-Everton to head the ball past Graczyk, giving Chippenham an early lead.

Despite conceding, Berkhamsted responded promptly and leveled the score just before halftime. Captain JJ Lacey found a way past Chippenham goalkeeper Jack Witchard, restoring parity for the visiting side heading into the break.

The second half saw the intensity remain high as both teams sought to gain the advantage. Berkhamsted then completed the turnaround in the 60th minute through Lewis Rolfe, who put the visitors ahead for the first time in the match. Following the goal, Chippenham pushed aggressively to find an equalizer, but Graczyk’s outstanding performance in goal, including a series of remarkable saves, ensured Berkhamsted maintained their lead until the final whistle.
