Faisal Razzaq, one of the men involved in the killing of police officer Sharon Beshenivsky, has been sentenced to a second life term for his part in a gun trafficking conspiracy. The 45-year-old was convicted at Harrow Crown Court after admitting to conspiracy to supply banned firearms, possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life, and two counts of possessing a firearm and ammunition while prohibited.
Razzaq, who originally served 11 years for his involvement as a getaway driver in the 2005 robbery that resulted in PC Beshenivsky's death, was released on parole in 2017. Following his release, he operated a luxury car hire business in Edgware, North London, but was found to have spent much of his time acquiring and distributing firearms to criminal gangs throughout London.
He was among six individuals sentenced for their roles in supplying guns to criminal networks in the city. Razzaq was ordered to serve a minimum of eight years in prison as part of his latest sentence. The court's decision underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb gun-related violence and gang activity in the region.
