Besiktas have reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign Belgian forward Leandro Trossard in a deal reportedly worth around £17 million. The transfer is expected to be finalised soon, with personal terms currently being negotiated. The 31-year-old winger’s contract with Arsenal is set to run until August 2027, but the move will see him leave the club a year early to join the Turkish side.
Trossard joined Arsenal in January 2023 from Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported fee of £27 million. Over three seasons with the north London club, he made 174 appearances across all competitions, contributing 36 goals and 24 assists. His versatility and attacking flair made him a regular feature under manager Mikel Arteta.
The forward has been an active participant in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, starting all four group-stage matches for Belgium. He is expected to play in Belgium’s upcoming round of 16 fixture against the United States, scheduled for the early hours of July 7.
Besiktas’s acquisition of Trossard reflects the club's ambitions to strengthen their squad with experienced international talent ahead of the new season. Arsenal, meanwhile, appear poised to reinvest the funds from the transfer as they look to reshape their roster. Further details regarding the length of Trossard’s contract with Besiktas and any additional clauses have not yet been disclosed.
