Dundee Football Club is poised to add Slovenian midfielder Zan Besir to their squad as preparations continue ahead of the new season. Besir, 25, has joined the team for pre-season training in Hungary and is expected to sign a contract pending the finalization of a work permit.
Besir arrives as a free agent following his departure from ND Primorje, which was relegated in the previous season. He brings experience from his time as a member of Slovenia’s Under-21 national team, adding depth to the Dark Blues’ midfield options.
This potential signing follows recent additions to the team, including Idris Odutayo and Ryan Finnigan. Dundee’s head coach, Steven Pressley, has been actively working to strengthen the squad after the high-profile sale of defender Luke Graham to Stoke City. The transfer set a club record, with Dundee receiving £2 million for the player.
With these moves, Dundee aims to bolster their lineup as they prepare for the upcoming campaign under Pressley’s guidance.
