The 2026 Darwin and District Cricket Competition (DDCC) season has reached its midpoint, with several players delivering notable performances across various grades. From commanding centuries in A-grade to dominant bowling displays in the women’s divisions, the competition continues to showcase talent across the Top End.

As of July 1, batting statistics reveal that Darwin’s C-grade player Dion Meta leads the competition with an average of 161 runs. Meta has accumulated 161 runs across four innings, remaining not out in three of those appearances. In the A-grade batting ranks, Waratah’s Jagadeswara Koduru tops the list, achieving an average of 80 through scoring 400 runs in seven innings this season.

On the bowling front, Palmerston captain Hamish Martin has taken the most wickets, claiming 25 dismissals to lead the competition. He is followed closely by Harry Tregloan from PINT, who remains a strong contender in the wicket-taking charts.

The ongoing season reflects a healthy competitive balance, with emerging young players gaining valuable experience alongside more established cricketers. Organizers are maintaining updated statistical rankings, allowing players to monitor their progress relative to their peers and opponents as the competition advances toward its conclusion.
