IDAM by Alain Ducasse, the Michelin-starred restaurant located within Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, has launched “The Mastery Series,” a curated set of culinary events highlighting the skills and creativity of leading chefs. The series, scheduled to run through September and October, aims to foster collaboration and exchange across diverse culinary traditions and techniques.
Executive Chef Fabrice Rosso described the initiative as a platform that brings together accomplished culinary masters who share a profound respect for their craft. While each event in the series maintains its individual character, they are unified by a mutual commitment to excellence and innovation.
Following the debut event, the series continues with “IDAM x ALBA: Michelin-Starred Four-Hand Dinner,” featuring Rosso alongside Cristhian Serraino, head chef at ALBA by Raffles. Serraino, who was honored with the Michelin Young Chef Award in 2025, will collaborate with Rosso for two exclusive dinners—one at IDAM on October 1, and the other at ALBA on October 8.
This collaboration brings together two of Doha’s Michelin-starred establishments, merging IDAM’s distinctive culinary vision with Serraino’s Italian heritage and international experiences. Both chefs emphasized their shared dedication to quality, precision, and ingredient respect in crafting a dining experience that reflects the unique strengths of each restaurant.
Serraino remarked on the partnership as a privilege that allows for an exchange of ideas and creative synergy between the two kitchens. He highlighted the combination of their culinary identities as an opportunity to produce menus that showcase the best attributes of both venues.
“The Mastery Series” represents a broader philosophy that mastery in the culinary arts is achieved through continuous exploration, meticulous attention to detail, and sustained dedication. By hosting these collaborations, IDAM seeks to offer guests dining experiences that go beyond traditional formats, celebrating the artistry and expertise central to its culinary approach.
