A strong lineup of top juvenile sprinters is set to compete in the prestigious Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday, with several notable fillies vying for victory in the Group 1 six-furlong contest.

Among the eight runners, Lowther Stakes winner Libertango, Morny Stakes winner Senorita Bonita, and the highly regarded Sun Goddess are prominent contenders. Senorita Bonita and Sun Goddess are both quoted as joint favorites at odds of 6-4, while Libertango is priced at 10-3. Star Of State is also in the mix at 10-1.

In addition to the Cheveley Park, attention will focus on the Middle Park Stakes, another Group 1 event on the same card. Ten juveniles remain in the line-up, with Coventry Stakes winner Great Barrier Reef leading as the 2-1 favorite. Joseph O’Brien’s Folsom Blue is the next best supported at 4-1, while Irish challenger Push The Boat Out and July Stakes winner Inner City Blues are also notable entrants.

Separately, the storied Cambridgeshire Handicap will feature a full field of 35 runners. Heading the list is Gavriel, trained by John and Thady Gosden, who will look to add another significant victory to their season.

The Newmarket meeting presents key early-season tests for some of the most promising two-year-olds, with the Cheveley Park Stakes and Middle Park Stakes serving as important indicators ahead of the autumn campaign.
