Buffalo secured a narrow 33-30 victory over Las Vegas in a closely contested game on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. The Bills improved to a 5-1 record, while the Raiders fell to 3-3.
The scoring opened in the first quarter with a 44-yard field goal from Buffalo’s Tyler Bass. Las Vegas responded with a one-yard touchdown run by Joe Jeanty, putting the Raiders ahead 7-3. Buffalo added another field goal early in the second quarter before wide receiver Gabriel Shakir caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen, giving the Bills a 13-7 lead. The Raiders kicked two field goals before halftime to narrow the gap to 13-13.
Tyler Bass extended Buffalo’s lead with a 47-yard field goal early in the third quarter. Allen connected with Josh Coleman on a 12-yard touchdown pass shortly afterward, pushing the score to 23-13. Las Vegas countered in the fourth quarter with a 23-yard field goal from Brandon Gay and a touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins to Zayden Tucker, cutting Buffalo's advantage to 23-23.
Buffalo regained the lead with a three-yard rushing touchdown from Devin Cook and a late 38-yard field goal by Bass. Despite Cousins throwing another touchdown pass to Tucker on a 44-yard play with just over a minute remaining, the Raiders were unable to complete the comeback.
Josh Allen finished with 255 passing yards and two touchdown passes, directing the Bills' offense. Tyler Bass contributed significantly, converting all five field goal attempts, including the decisive late kick. Las Vegas relied on Cousins’ passing and Gay’s field goals to stay competitive throughout the game but ultimately fell short.
The win keeps Buffalo atop the AFC East standings early in the season, while the Raiders continue to seek consistency as they reach the midway point of the campaign.
