Chelsea have secured the signing of Hearts defender Alfie Osbourne, outpacing interest from several prominent European clubs. The Scotland Under-19 international has agreed to a long-term contract with the Premier League club, with the move set to be officially completed in mid-July when he turns 18. Hearts had hoped to retain Osbourne amid competition from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Marseille, Club Brugge, and multiple English clubs. While the loss represents a setback for Hearts, the club may benefit financially through future add-ons included in the transfer agreement.

In other transfer developments, Ivan Dolcek, formerly on loan at Dundee United, has joined Croatian side Osijek on a three-year deal. The 26-year-old winger, previously contracted to Slaven Belupo, was not retained permanently by Dundee United despite having an option to do so.

Additionally, Doncaster Rovers have moved to secure goalkeeper Josh Clarke, who became a free agent after his contract with Celtic expired. Clarke had agreed a pre-contract to join Partick Thistle, but the League One club's late intervention appears to have disrupted those plans.

In the Scottish Championship, Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed midfielder Ryan Duncan to a two-year deal following his release from Aberdeen. Duncan spent the previous season on loan at Ross County and will join former Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie, who also recently signed for Inverness. The club has further bolstered its squad by re-signing striker Alfie Bavidge on loan from Aberdeen.

Finally, Ayr United are negotiating loan deals to bring in Dundee United players Owen Stirton and Charlie Dewar. Stirton, a striker, is seeking more playing time after an unproductive loan spell at Airdrie, while defender Dewar, who had a positive stint at Alloa, is expected to step up a division in joining Ayr United.
