Despite a prolific start to the season, scoring 11 goals in their opening two games, Blyth relied on a second-half strike from Ben Fell in the 68th minute to secure their third consecutive win.

Elsewhere, Bishop Auckland and Redcar Town both dropped points for the first time. Bishop Auckland suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Shildon, with first-half goals from Billy Greulich-Smith and an own goal by Alex Nelson deciding the match in front of 826 fans at Heritage Park. Redcar Town earned a 1-1 draw at Kendal Town, coming from behind after Jayden Sekete converted a free kick from Craig Gott to equalize following DJ Taylor’s early long-range goal for the home side.

Penrith remains without a point after three matches, having conceded ten goals. They were beaten 4-0 by Crook Town, who capitalized on goals from Corey Nicholson (two), Glen Hargrave, and Max Brandon. Whickham maintained their unbeaten status with a 2-1 comeback victory at Newcastle Blue Star.

Newly promoted Yarm & Eaglescliffe secured a dramatic 3-2 win at Birtley Town after scoring twice in injury time. Kriston Cofinas and Tom Atkinson were the late heroes, overturning a two-goal deficit. Newcastle Benfield recorded a 2-0 victory over Whitley Bay, courtesy of first-half efforts from Matty Hayton and Michael Annang-Colquhoun.

Easington Colliery gained a 4-1 win against Carlisle City, powered by a brace from Liam Adamson in the first half. Northallerton Town remains without a win after conceding four second-half goals in a 4-0 home defeat to North Shields. The visitors’ scorers included Stephen Hall, Lewis Suddick, Dan Cherry, and Luke Carr.

Thornaby defeated Newton Aycliffe 4-2 with Spencer Walker contributing two goals. The results leave Blyth Town at the top of the table, continuing their strong start to the season.
