Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler has emerged from a medically induced coma following a heart attack but remains in serious condition. The 75-year-old artist is currently receiving intensive care in Faro, southern Portugal.
According to a statement posted on her official website, Tyler’s condition is gradually improving, though the recovery is expected to be slow. Medical staff remain optimistic about her eventual return to health but emphasize that considerable time will be required.
Tyler was initially admitted to hospital in May due to a bowel tear, which necessitated surgical intervention. Postoperative complications led doctors to place her in the induced coma to aid her recovery. As a result of her health issues, all scheduled concerts through the end of August have been cancelled.
The statement also expressed gratitude to her fans for the wide support and concern shown during her ongoing treatment. Tyler’s team continues to monitor her condition closely while prioritizing her care.
