Valencia has dismissed manager Carlos Corberán and chief executive Ron Gourlay following a difficult start to the 2026-2027 season. The decision came after the team failed to secure a win in their first five league matches, amassing only one point and placing them at the bottom of the standings.

The club’s poor form prompted growing dissatisfaction among fans, who had previously voiced concerns about Corberán’s playing style despite the team finishing ninth in La Liga last season. During recent home games, supporters openly urged the manager to resign.

In addition to the departures of Corberán and Gourlay, Valencia has also terminated the contracts of four other employees working under the chief executive, as well as members of the manager’s coaching staff. The club is now expected to begin a search for new leadership on and off the pitch as it aims to reverse its fortunes in the league.
