Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott acknowledged the challenges of adjusting to new head coach Marco Rose’s tactical approach following a 1-1 draw against Everton on Sunday. The Premier League side conceded a late equalizer for the second consecutive week, with a defensive lapse between Ryan Christie and Marcus Tavernier allowing James Tarkowski to level the score.

Last weekend, Bournemouth also surrendered a late lead in a 2-1 defeat at Manchester City, highlighting the ongoing adaptation process under Rose, who was appointed this summer. Scott, who scored Bournemouth’s goal against Everton, described the team’s style as “high-pressing football” that is both demanding and entertaining but noted that it will take time for the squad to fully acclimate.

“It’s high-pressing football, exciting football for the fans, and it’s going to take a few weeks to get used to,” Scott said. “It’s not much different but we are learning. He’s a top manager, he’s got top coaching staff. We’ve really enjoyed the weeks he’s been here and we’re looking forward to the season.”

Bournemouth’s schedule includes a high-profile Europa League group stage tie at home against AC Milan on 22 October. Rose expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to face such a prominent European club, emphasizing the significance for both the team and the wider club community.
