Bracknell Town secured a 3-1 victory over Sholing on a challenging, rain-soaked pitch at Bottom Meadow, marking a positive return to form early in the season. The conditions proved difficult for both sides but appeared to affect Sholing more significantly as Bracknell capitalized on key moments to take control of the match.

The opening goal arrived in the 10th minute when Adam Liddle seized on a rare opportunity and scored from long range, catching Sholing's goalkeeper Jack Turner off guard. Bracknell nearly doubled their lead shortly after as Jordan Stepney directed a powerful header from a corner, but Turner managed an impressive save to keep his team in contention.

Sholing responded around the 35th minute, creating their best chance of the first half, but Bracknell goalkeeper Zaki Oualah was well-positioned to deny the attempt. As the half drew to a close, Sholing were awarded a penalty after CJ Fearns blocked a cross with an outstretched arm. Jake McCarthy calmly converted from the spot to level the score going into halftime.

The Robins quickly regained the upper hand just six minutes into the second half. Oualah launched a long throw-out which unsettled the Sholing defense, allowing Ruben Bartlett-Antwi to score and restore Bracknell’s lead. The home side extended their advantage moments later when Harry Hamblin finished from close range following a corner clearance failure by Sholing.

Bracknell Town maintained control for the remainder of the match as Sholing struggled to mount effective pressure and create clear scoring chances. The 3-1 result marked a confident performance by Bracknell in challenging conditions and a welcome three points in their early campaign.
