Brentford have agreed a £17 million deal to sign winger Jaidon Anthony from Burnley, according to club sources. The 26-year-old is set to undergo a medical examination, with the transfer expected to be finalized shortly.

Anthony contributed eight goals in the Premier League last season, despite Burnley’s struggles that culminated in relegation following only four victories. Brentford will pay an initial £15 million for the player, with an additional £2 million in potential add-ons included in the agreement.

Burnley acquired Anthony from Bournemouth last summer for £8 million. As part of that transfer, Bournemouth secured a 15 percent sell-on clause, which will entitle the club to a share of the fee now that Anthony’s loan move was made permanent after Burnley’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2024-25 season.

The deal represents a key addition for Brentford as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign. Further details of the contract have not been disclosed.
