Brentford has completed the signing of forward Jaidon Anthony from Burnley for a reported fee of approximately £17 million. The 26-year-old, who developed through the Arsenal academy, joins the west London club following a season in which he featured in all but one of Burnley’s Premier League fixtures. During the 2025-2026 campaign, Anthony scored eight goals and provided four assists, despite Burnley’s relegation from the top flight.

Brentford’s manager Keith Andrews expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting Anthony’s performance under challenging circumstances last season. Andrews highlighted that after meeting the player, it was clear he would be a good fit for Brentford’s squad and club culture. He also emphasized Anthony’s potential for further development, indicating the club’s confidence in his continued growth and contribution.

Burnley’s loss comes as the club prepares for life outside the Premier League, while Brentford aims to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the upcoming season. The transfer reflects Brentford’s strategy of investing in young talent with Premier League experience in order to sustain its competitiveness in the league.
