Brentford striker Kaye Furo will be sidelined for an unspecified period following surgery for an injury sustained during training. Head coach Keith Andrews confirmed that Furo required an operation after picking up the injury in recent training sessions. In Furo’s absence, defender Benjamin Fredrick, 21, is set to make his debut for Brentford in the match against Reading. Andrews emphasized his intention to field a competitive squad to advance in the Carabao Cup. "We’ll put a team out we feel is right to compete against Reading and, hopefully, get us into the next round," he added.
