A man from Swansea has been sentenced to seven years in prison for the rape of a teenage girl. Caeran Evans, 27, was convicted at Swansea Crown Court of sexually assaulting the victim while she was intoxicated and unaware of the abuse. The victim, described as a teenager, was found with derogatory insults written on her body, and a video showing Evans snorting cocaine from her body was shared.

The victim reportedly regained consciousness to find her underwear removed and experienced physical changes, indicating the assault had taken place without her knowledge or consent. Evans was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for life following the sentencing.

South Wales Police condemned Evans’s actions, highlighting that he was aware of being filmed during the assault, describing his behavior as “unimaginably more abhorrent” due to his apparent motivation for perverse gratification. The case underscores ongoing concerns about the exploitation of vulnerable individuals and the use of technology to record and share abusive acts.
