Victoria Park in Hong Kong is currently hosting a vibrant celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival with the Tourism Board’s first International Lantern Spectacular, alongside the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival. The event, which runs through Sunday, showcases an extensive collection of over 3,000 lanterns representing 20 countries and regions.

Visitors can explore approximately 400 handcrafted lantern displays, highlighting diverse cultural artistry. A notable centerpiece is a large Qinhuai banyan tree lantern, crafted by specialists from Nanjing, reflecting traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The festival also features illuminated installations inspired by local Hong Kong culinary favorites, including egg waffles, milk tea, and curry fishballs, adding a distinct regional flavor to the spectacle.

Located in Causeway Bay, the free public event aims to celebrate cultural diversity and community spirit during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The display's broad international scope and incorporation of local elements seek to provide attendees with a multifaceted lantern experience.
