Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed a transfer deal with Tottenham Hotspur to acquire 19-year-old Croatian centre back Luka Vuskovic. The transfer fee is reported to be £46 million upfront, with add-ons expected to raise the total value to around £50 million. As part of the arrangement, Tottenham will retain a sell-on clause.
The move follows a recent significant deal between the two clubs, in which Tottenham signed Brighton’s centre back Jan Paul van Hecke for £52 million last month. This sequence of transfers highlights a growing exchange of talent between the Premier League teams.
In addition to their dealings with Brighton, Tottenham have also turned down an offer from Newcastle United for midfielder Archie Gray, who is 20 years old. The rejection indicates Tottenham’s intention to keep the young midfielder in their squad as they continue to shape their roster ahead of the new season.
