Bromsgrove Sporting secured their fourth victory of the season with a commanding 3-0 win over Bishop’s Stortford, who remain second-bottom in the league with just one point. The match, held on Saturday, was decided by a rapid succession of goals early in the second half.

Despite a flurry of early chances for Bromsgrove Sporting, the breakthrough came in the 54th minute. A well-placed cross from Ollie Harrison was headed accurately into the bottom corner by Billy Shaw. Shaw then played a key role three minutes later, setting up Dan Trickett-Smith, who calmly converted to double the lead. The momentum continued as the third goal followed quickly in the 59th minute, when Shaw assisted Josh Dugmore, who laid the ball off for Lamin Barrow to score from close range.

Bromsgrove Sporting had several opportunities to extend their lead further, including a near miss by Trickett-Smith in the 69th minute and two late attempts by substitute Jamille Matt, both of which were denied. Bishop’s Stortford’s attacking efforts were limited but included a header from defender Jake Thompson that was deflected wide.

Earlier in the match, Bromsgrove Sporting created multiple scoring chances. Ollie Harrison’s header hit the post, and efforts from Trickett-Smith, Shaw, and Barrow tested the Bishop’s Stortford defense. Shaw narrowly missed a close-range shot in the 28th minute, while goalkeeper Tony Breeden made a key save from Aaron Greene fifteen minutes before halftime.

The result consolidates Bromsgrove Sporting’s positive start to the campaign, while Bishop’s Stortford continue to struggle near the bottom of the table.
