Paul Flack, brother of the late television presenter Caroline Flack, has died at the age of 55, six years after his sister took her own life. He was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21, shortly after celebrating his 55th birthday on June 18. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

An inquest into Paul Flack’s death was opened on July 1 at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, with a hearing scheduled for October 23. A provisional post mortem indicated cardiac arrest caused by hanging, but the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation. Norfolk Police stated that although the death is currently treated as unexplained, there are no suspicious circumstances at this time.

Paul Flack, a graphic designer and artist, was born in Enfield and later moved to Norfolk during childhood. He was known to be active in his local community, including participating as a DJ in a Norwich event last year. He is survived by his partner and their two children. Tributes paid to him highlight his kindness, sense of humor, and warmth. The organizers of Flackstock, a festival established in memory of Caroline Flack, expressed deep sorrow over his passing, remembering him fondly.

The family has previously spoken openly about challenges relating to mental health. Caroline Flack, a well-known host of reality shows including Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing, died by suicide in February 2020 at age 40. Her family has discussed the difficulties she faced in coping with mental health issues amid intense media scrutiny and public attention. Caroline’s mother, Christine, has criticized the legal and media pressures following an assault allegation involving Caroline’s boyfriend, which the coroner said contributed to the presenter’s distress.

Paul Flack appeared alongside his mother in a 2025 documentary examining the final months of Caroline’s life. After his sister’s death, he shared a childhood photo of Caroline on social media and used his platform to honor her memory. His final Instagram post, published in June 2020, was a tribute to Caroline.

The family is continuing to await the results of the inquest for further information, as they cope with another tragic loss.
