Darren Schreiber, a builder from Wrea Green, Lancashire, unexpectedly spent £8,000 on four robotic dinosaurs during an online auction initially intended for construction equipment. The 58-year-old placed the winning bids on the automated models, which are capable of movement and roaring sounds. These life-sized dinosaurs were previously featured at Universal Studios in the United States.
Schreiber described the purchase as an impulsive decision, acknowledging that he exceeded his original budget. While some acquaintances have expressed surprise at the acquisition, he noted that his five grandchildren are enthusiastic about the new additions. The models, standing tall and designed for entertainment purposes, are now part of his personal collection.
